The first of eight diagrams shows the territories that are currently under rebel and government control - this is a best guess as of March 4th.

The above map shows the Government (Gaddafi) controlled areas in green, and rebel held territories in red.

To the east you have Pro Gaddafi forces digging in around Sirt and Ras Lanuf preventing a move by the main opposition force in Benghazi. To the South Pro-Gaddafi forces have fortified the southern approaches around Al Aziziya and Yafren. To the west forces have surrounded Al Zawiya thus preventing any movement by opposition forces in the west while controlling the Tunisian border. Then to make matters worse for the opposition the south western regions of Libya seem to be loyal to Gaddafi while sending more troops to join his Pan African Legion.
